Annapolis Summit
Forty countries, a babel of languages and elite functionaries in a confusion of cultures, egos, and expectations have come to represent all those on the planet who are important, think they are important, or are hoping this will establish their importance. They are all gathered around a sumptuous US table for the sake of Peace. And they are ALL focused on the diminution of one of the tinier countries of the world in order to placate the thugs who rule the impoverished neighborhood clans. All this is presided over by one seeker for her one chance for fame and a name. Her doubtful boss who is playing along while distancing himself from the results has nothing to lose. He will get a share of the glory if she wins and blame Israel if she doesn't.
Smoke and Mirrors in an attempt to placate the predators, the propaganda flows freely as the media gathers to catch every sound bite that will put a happy face on the party.

THE OLMERT ABU-BLUFF AGREEMENT WILL EXPLODE IN OUR FACES |
They reminded the crowd that the young father murdered recently in near his town in Samaria met his death at the hands of Abu Abbas' FATAH forces, not Hamas. They reminded them that there are Hamas cells and missile manufacturing plants hidden under Abbas' very nose (and to his knowledge).

A sign for Annapolis: Hands off Israel! We are in God's Hands |
The speakers reminded the demonstrators that the money and ammunition provided by the US and other western governments to support Abbas' Security Forces has been and will be turned on Israeli civilians. Most of all, they reminded them of Abu Abbas' own words recently wherein he claimed all of Israel as Palestine and all of Jerusalem as the Muslim capital.
It would behoove many at the Annapolis party to remember that a large number of their home constituents are non-Muslim. Some of them might be somewhat dismayed when their beautiful churches in Jerusalem are burned down and all history of their religion in the Land of Israel erased. This is not theory. It is already being carried out in Gaza and wherever the PA has control in the heartland.
So if, as one Jerusalem Post headline proclaims, "Bush [is] worried about the consequences if the peace process fails." A smart man would note that history indicates otherwise. He should FEAR the consequences if it succeeds.
